ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brenda A. Dudley was born in Washington, DC, in 1956, and her mother had eleven children; Brenda is a left-handed middle child, and her initials spell BAD, which became her childhood nickname. Brenda lived a wayward life on the streets of DC, skipping school and following the wrong crowd, which landed her in jail. Although she spent most of her youth incarcerated, she was able to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Today she has received many miracles, like earning her GED and two college degrees, and she has overcome bad habits like substance abuse and criminal activities. Brenda is a cancer survivor and has experienced many hardships, but she can always give someone an ear, a smile, and a word or sight of encouragement.
